The pellet engineering technology is the major core technology of CIE absorbed in research and development of large scale pellet technologies. CIE has seen its core technologies of shaft furnace, travelling grate indurating furnace and grate-kiln projects. Especially over the past ten years, the grate kiln engineering technology is in the leading position domestically, and the types of ores applied in the engineering technologies involve magnetite, vanadium-titanium magnetite, hematite, limonite and pyrite cinder. CIE boasts its design and EPC capability for constructing pellet plants from 1.2 million ton to 6 million ton.
 
Alkaline pellet production technologies
 
◎ CIE develops the basic pellet technology to improve the alkaline pellet burden structure because acid pellet is produced mainly in pellet plant at present.

Oxidized pellet technology of pyrite residue
 
◎ Using high proportion pyrite residue as the main raw materials for preparation of oxidized pellet
◎ Using high pressure roller grinding & side material circulation technology to activate material surface properties and solve the problem of bad balling performance of pyrite residue
◎Using material prewetting-ageing technology to improve the hydrophilicity of pyrite residue
◎Using product desulphurization and flue gas desulphurization technology to reduce product residue and SO2 emission
