On May 1, the 1,500 kt/a Pellet Flue Gas Desulfurization and Denitration Project of Zhong Xin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd. in Jiangsu Xuzhou undertaken by CIEE (a subsidiary of CIE) as the General Contractor was put into production successfully. The front-end high-temperature SCR denitration of pellet+ flue gas semi-dry desulfurization process technology with circulating fluidized bed (CFB) independently developed by CIE is adopted for the Project to facilitate ultra-low emission of pellet production line of Zhong Xin Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd.

The unit in the project covers a small area, has strong adaptability to pelletizing conditions and operates stably, realizing 100% synchronous operation with the pellet system. All the flue gas emission indicators meet the ultra-low emission standards, and the environmental and economic benefits are significant. The production of the Project marks that CIE has entered a new field in the atmospheric treatment business, which lays a good foundation for undertaking high-temperature SCR and sintering pellet semi-dry process projects.
