On Dec 30, the load test run of Kunsteel Dahongshan 1,500,000 t/a, deep copper ore beneficiation and 3,800,000 t/a lava iron ore beneficiation EPC project iron series undertaken by CIE was successful for one time, and the project officially entered the stage of trial production.

The project is of a salvageable resource development project, the biggest semiautogenous mill and ball mill are used in metallurgical mines projects, the equipment level and electrical and automation control level is high. The project is divided into two series as copper series and iron series, it was commenced on Oct 18, 2009. During the project execution, CIE organized all parties to overcome such difficulties as narrow construction site, difficult raw material transportation, difficult construction of gallery pipelines and tight construction period etc., it promoted the project construction in high quality and efficiency, and it won good appraise from the Owner. Dahongshan site project manager department of CIE was granted by Kunsteel as the “excellent unit for Dahongshan iron ore mine 8,000,000 t t/a expansion project construction”.

The non-load test run for the copper series of the project will be completed in February of 2011, CIE is actively organizing the construction to ensure the commissioning of the whole project on time.
